OUR Story

The core Privie team is made up of two ex-colleagues: several years ago, we met working on the same team at a Big Tech company in the UK. We had different specialities, and complemented each other's work extremely well. We spent many years of supporting each other through promotions and incredible projects - everything from legal areas like international data transfer updates and ads targeting, to detailed product counselling on emerging tech areas like augmented reality and neurotech, to evolving regulatory and compliance standards around online safety rules, the GDPR, and AI.

Eventually we moved on to different big companies, and consistently saw the need for high-level data protection and privacy product advice done better. We saw friends with startups struggle to meet compliance requirements, and watched as regulators acted where our advice had not been taken. We also saw that large consulting companies didn't offer the same detailed, fast-moving support that we specialise in, and decided it was time to offer a different kind of consulting services, one that works better for tech companies and for thinkers that really want to create something new.

Privie Consulting is registered in the Netherlands (kvk 97018694) and UK. We work with companies across the EU, as well as with companies in the USA  (one of us has a JD and active Bar membership). We also have experience working with companies across APAC and MEA.
